Drug Uses
Soma is a muscle relaxant prescribed for the relief of musculoskeletal pain in adults.
How Taken
A general recommended dosage of Soma is 250-350 mg, not more than 3 times per day. The medication is not prescribed for children under 12 years old. The medication is advised to be taken with milk or food in order to have a less likelihood of suffering from stomach upset as a result of taking the drug.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose skip the missed dose and take a next on as on your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose at once to catch up.
Storage
Soma pill is stored at the temperature of 59 degrees C (15 – 30 degrees C). Keep away from heat and moisture.
Possible Side Effects
Soma may cause diverse side effects described as more common and less serious; and serious side effects. In case of experiencing the following side effects, stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor without procrastinating:
- extreme weakness or dizziness;
- asthmatic episodes;
- vision loss or blurred vision;
- anaphylactoid shock;
- a feeling of fainting; or paralysis;
- allergic reaction (skin rash, severe pruritus, redness)
Other less serious side effects are more likely to occur. In this case continue to use the medication and talk to your doctor. Probably you will need to take a break or low a dosage:
- headache;
- dizziness, vertigo;
- drowsiness;
- depression, nervousness; or
- agitation, irritability;
- insomnia
- upset stomach, nausea or vomiting;
Other unusual or similar side effects may occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effects you find bothersome or uncommon.
